Inuit Heritage Trust is seeking nominations of Elders from across Nunavut. Community members and organizations are encouraged to nominate Elders who have a passion for sharing their knowledge of Inuit culture, history, and heritage to younger generations, strengthening and preserving Inuit cultural identity. IHT’s Board of Trustees select recipients from each region (the Kitikmeot, Kivalliq, and Qikiqtani) and each recipient will receive a commemorative plaque and a $1,500 honorarium. To nominate an Elder complete the form below and submit it along with a photograph of the Elder.
